The NDC you bill must be the NDC you bought.
New York Medicaid now audits by matching your claims to your wholesaler invoices. MatchNDC runs that same match on your own computer, so you see the gap before OMIG does.
One generic, three records, one audit finding. Most pharmacies have hundreds of these and no way to see them.
What it does
You export two files you already have: paid claims from your pharmacy system, and invoice detail from your wholesaler. MatchNDC reads both and tells you, in dollars and in claim lines, which NDCs you billed that no purchase supports, and which ones are still inside the window to reverse and re-bill correctly.
What it does not do
- It does not send your data anywhere. It runs on the pharmacy's computer; nothing is uploaded.
- It does not need your software vendor's cooperation. Any system that can export claims works.
- It does not give legal advice. It shows you the numbers an auditor would see.
Who it is for
Independent pharmacies billing NYRx and other Medicaid plans, before the audit letter, or while answering one. First built and run at Detronet Pharmacy in Harlem, on PrimeRx and a standard wholesaler feed.
